Autel MaxiCHECK MX808 offers an android based 7" tablet professional service tool. Users can choose either the All-Service or All-Systems service mode from the main screen. The OBDII cord connected tablet tool reads and clears codes for all module systems for complete service, according to the company.
I've done a 2016 Altima (push to start) and a 2006 Honda Pilot key (buttons on back of key) without issues. For the Altima, my 808 even pulled the PIN.

I purchased the MX808 model and was able to successfully reset the oil maintenance light on my 2022 C4s.
All in all don't mind the price seeing as Porsche would charge this amount to purchase the MX808 unit just for 1 oil change interval.
Still can't believe it took the aftermarket 3 model years to catch up, but glad they did finally!

Bi-directional capabilities are a recent development on the mx808 with the latest update which is probably 6-12 months old. Of course they will vary vehicle to vehicle but I would imagine(I don't know this for sure) that higher priced scanners would be more capable.
I have used the bi-directional controls on my mx808 but I do not work at a dealership

I’ve had one for a couple of years. I work at a Nissan dealer and found it to be faster to program keys and idle learn. Can’t beat the price for what it does.

It’s a good little scanner with good bi directional capabilities.
For basic use only tho.
If they have you doing some advanced diagnostic then you need something more capable.
I would use the 808 as a basic scan tool with some nice features.

I updated my MX808, it’s a totally different tool now. Way better then before.

I got the Autel MX808 and it works great for reading fault codes and resetting the oil and service messages, I like it and still learning all the features ...

It's a great code reader.
It's got VERY LITTLE in the way of bidirectional abilities.

I like mine, pretty good tool for the money. It doesn’t have any real bidirectional controls but does most of what I need in a body shop. My only complaints would be it can be glitchy needing a restart sometimes and the vehicle updates aren’t as current as I’d like. Probably not a big deal for most but I work on brand new vehicles often.

I've had mine for 4 months fully updated hasn't let me down besides the fact I can't actuate motors and solenoids but does the job on common vehicle

Hi, your MX808 scan tool is pretty good. It covers lots of makes and models. Pretty much all domestic, European, and asian makes. My family has a total of 5 cars. 2 BMWs, 1 Honda, 1 Toyota, & 1 Lexus. It already comes preloaded with all manufacturer software. I highly recommend it.

I was considering between MX808 and Foxwell. It might be more cost effective to get an Autel Maxicheck MX808.
The MX808 is a professional scan tool. It covers 99% of makes and models. Pretty much all domestic, European, and asian makes. My family has a total of 5 cars. 2 BMWs, 1 Honda, 1 Toyota, & 1 Lexus. If I were to buy the software for each of those manufacturers separately it would cost a lot more than the Foxwell to buy each individual software. Autel MX808 already comes preloaded with all manufacturer software. Also...MX808 has some advanced functions that the Foxwell skimps on.
