The scan tool is actually pretty good. For the price you cant beat it for things you are able to access and do on certain cars. European cars on this thing is pretty sweet. It even has an after media blasting process for BMWs which some bigger scanners dont even have. The interface is pretty user friendly. Now from an at home mechanic, you can pretty much get everything done you need with this scanner. You can do brake jobs on cars that need the rear calipers pushed back through the scan tool on pretty much every make that uses that which is great. Relearn windows, reset oil lights easy stuff like that. All in all happy with purchase. The autel I would say is its competitor if youre looking between the two. The launch has better features and functions on the technical side.

I ordered this for personal use and some professional use. It has been a great scan tool, very easy to use and understand. I replaced my snapon modis with this model and haven't looked back!

I own a couple of different brand scanners, including the off the truck scanners and launch pro3+ which is always my go-to scanner. Does everything a 6k+ scanner does and more for 1/6 of the price. Has all kinds of add ons you can also buy if you need to expend your diagnostic needs.

Just recieved and used it on 4 vehicles so still learning but it's been impressive so far. Even upgraded the software on my 2006 vw jetta

The X431 PROS+ is a great tool for working on a variety of vehicles. So far, it has worked flawlessly for three of my modern vehicles (2 BMWs and a Porsche). I have been able to run diagnostic tests, including diesel tests, pull codes, and have found quite a few coding options for our newest car (2013 Cayenne). Additionally, it looks to have support for pretty much any make & model available, so I think that this might be pretty versatile for even a repair shop. The Bluetooth OBD interface has a long range, making it easy to carry it around the car for the DSC brake bleeding procedure. Connects quickly and runs through a self-guided connection process which my 11 year old was able to use to set a door locking feature on a BMW. I like the topographical layout of the bus systems. In general, I've found it very easy to use. I was able to use the BMW 20-pin connector on my classic to read data for a test. The case is really big, but it has a lot of free space as well for tossing in other tools. It runs on a standard Android platform, which offers a lot of flexibility while using it, and has an integrated support line to Launch. There is a tough cover on it with a useful kickstand, and the tablet has a very robust feel, which is nice considering its possible uses. I like how the cover has a cutout for the power cable which allows it to easily decide which way to plug it in. Not totally necessary, but a very clever attention to detail. I reached out to Launch with a couple of questions, and they answer very quickly, even on the weekend. I would definitely recommend this

i love that the tablet walks you through codes so if you have a code and hit google button next to it will take you to a site to help you with the code and when i had a problem with the tablet the company was right on it i really say you wont find a better tablet for this price and well built

Great tool for the money. I've used the tool several times on class 8 trucks and passenger cars. Having the ability to preform injector cut-out, injector coding, VGT turbo actuator calibration, DPF reset and forced regen is fantastic. It can't do everything the factory scan tools can but for the price and the features it can preform you won't find anything better.

I use multiple systems for all the repairs I do in my shop,diesel laptops,J-pro,phoenix but this one is my favorite of all best money spent and the company that sells the item are very prompt if you need any assistance they immediately get back to you and solve or answers any questions you have!!

Awesome scan tool and seamless integration of Autoauth for the ram pickup. Wireless Bluetooth is great. There is allot of adapters and cables for various vehicles in the box. Very nice blow molded plastic box. Still exploring the various different menus. Well worth the money spent on this one. With a Alldata account you will have lots of info to do your trouble shooting with.

The Launch X431 Pro3S+ is a great scanner and it doubles as a tablet that can search the internet to look up codes. You can also watch YouTube to watch videos about the codes or trouble that you are having. It has all the connection to connect to any car or truck out there. Plus it looks good too. But it was easy to use and touch screen tablet is a great up grade from the little code readers that I was using. I'm glad I my the purchase just in time to diagnose my new engine in my truck. But it's a good scanner for the money. So don't waste time. Go get you one.

i love the bi directional controls for the fact i just used for finding an evap leak. i was able to go in and turn on the vent valve on and off to find the leak. i also could see the tank sensor volts to tell f it was building up vacuum or not to know if the leak was fixed. its just a nice good easy to use quality tool i will use for years to come!

I like that it has a 10 inch touchscreen. It has a lot of features that will take me some time to get use to it. But so far it is easy to use. I haven't used their tech support yet, so I can't say for sure how they are with that. Edit This tool just receive an update and it has Topology now.

This scan tool deserves every star for a good reason. I must note this is top shelf and high quality, not only in its construction but the capabilities it has to offer to serve almost if not all makes and model old to brand new with the many adaptors it comes in the case with to actually connect hardware wise to the vehicles. Next, the interface and software allows for servicing and repairing simple resets to complex dianogostics. This being said there isn’t a fault or issue that can’t be solved at ease of the fingertips . This will save you hundred if not thousands of dollars down the road for any issue that may arise with just wear and tear and can easily be maintained with this tool. Lastly what I like most is the assessories that can be attached and used making this tool a literal car shop brought straight to you handling all aspects of vehicle diaognostic’s and repairs right there at home. Real investment for the novice to the skilled !!!!

Wish it was a type C charging port the usb usually have issues but battery seems to last long. Standard android tablet. I specialize in exotic European cars ferarri Lamborghini Porsche ect. Software seems to have no issues yet can do quite a bit and has no trouble with service resets on Audi/Volkswagen/lambo. I’m happy with the device overall. Expect a long update out of the box basically comes with no software and it all downloads first power up.

This scanner brings professional quality to a whole new level. This scanner is now my daily preference. It does a lot more than other scanners. I’ve used all the common brands but this does everything. I’ve used it on several brands of vehicles to troubleshoot ignition issues caused by a failing coil pack, add a key fob, diagnose a failing O2 sensor, reset service timers, etc. With the labor time it’s saved me, it has already paid for itself

I wanted to write a quick review on my new Launch Pro 3s+. My first take is this is a very well made high resolution tablet that is well protected and built. The Launch Pro 3s+ also has built in service information in the tool! That's right! Built in wiring diagrams that are make and model specific! Downloads are fast ,easy and free!! Launch has many Service function resets and relearned built in. There is also more service functions and relearns that are vehicle specific to the car you are working on. I am very happy with purchase! I have 30 years in the automotive industry and there is no other company that offers help to the user when they are diagnosing a car! This help is included with the tool! The last shop that I work for paid hundreds of $$ a month for a similar service! I reached out to the company on my Launch Pro3s+ and they responded back quickly! DIY or professional technician this is a game changer!

I have to say the unit itself is awesome. Easy to boot up easy to set up and easy to input all your information. I love that it's ran off of an android system. I've used it so far to program key fobs on a 2003 jeep liberty. Used it on a 2003 subaru outback to figure out a misfire. And used it on a 2005 chevy diesel to find the glow plug relay was bad. Found them all because of the awesome bidirectional features. It makes it so much easier. Now some vehicles you won't use all the bidirectional controls because certain vehicles don't have the modules to activate everything like that. The scanner itself Is a nice size to gold and work with. I love the stand on the back because you can you can hang it from the steering wheel and it makes it nice to work with. Also a great feature is it sets off a warning messege when your don't telling you not to forget the receiver. Which we all know has been done by everyone with a wireless scanner. The features are going to take a while to learn it all. I have a bunch of scanners but this just has so much to it it's gunna take a bit. I love the face that you can connect the endo scope to it and take pics and save them. It makes it nice to diagnose and save info. I havnt tried the tire pressure sensor programing part yet but from researching its easy to do. The best part is 2 year free update. That helps alot when your trying to learn it all. I have to say customer service is 100% amazing if you need any help or have any questions. If your a technician you'll love this unit. If your a at home mechanic it may be pricey for you but I'd fork out the money because it's worth it. I'm happy after 1 week. I will continue to update as I use.

This review is for all audiences shopping for an automotive scanning tool but my first comment has to be for those of you that are nervous about buying this product, like I WAS, because the country of origin is China and not the USA. Let me just say I took the dive for you and honestly, you will NOT be disappointed with this scanning tool. I also reached out to tech support and I received a response that same day in the evening which was refreshing. I bought the Launch X431 Pro3S+ which is the latest and greatest of the X431's to replace an old OTC scan tool that served its purpose at the time but let's be honest, basic scanners are so time-consuming by looking up error codes that I decided to shop for a replacement. I took around a month watching youtube videos and I was kind of sold on an Autel scan tool that I eventually got from Amazon. Well, it did good on some cars but totally failed on Lexus cars. I reached out to Autel support and they responded that they don't support it. It was indeed a bummer as I wanted to replace the Lexus Techstream that runs on my laptop but I figured it would do. Well, it turned out that a friend of mine had a Launch x431 mini and it worked on Lexus cars. Now about the Launch X431 Pro3S+, I've just barely scratched the surface using this tool but so far this tool has really impressed me. I've used it on a 2004 Ford F150 Lariat, 2004 Lexus LS 430, 2008 Mazda RX8, 2016 Toyota Corolla, and a 2019 Honda Odyssey. I used Intelligent Diagnoses and it automatically picked up all the vehicles except the Lexus. On the Lexus, I used Local Diagnoses and I was able to do everything Lexus Techsteam software did. I mean everything which was amazing. All bi-directional tasks! Finally, the tablet is really nice! The hardware is solid and fast with a top-notch protective case. Also, there are so many hardware adaptors that I will probably never use but hey, if you need it someday It WILL be there. lol Oh, and the packaging was excellent!

It is a great Investment for any automotive specialist. Not for the backyard mechanic!

This is just one of the launch tools I own, every year they make subtle refinements that make what was already a great tool even better. This tablet is extremely responsive, lightweight and durable. Another function that I am extremely happy to see in this tablet is the inclusion of the Google play store. This tablet is able to run any android app available in the Google play store. This is fantastic when you need to research a particularly difficult situation, order parts, look up a flow chart or send an email to a customer. This is a fully featured diagnostic tool, this tablet has many by directional functions, reset functions and monitoring capabilities. I have included a few screenshots from a job I did today. I have not yet had the opportunity to explore all of the buy direction controls be on the standard, windows up and down, fuel pump on and off, cooling fan, gauge test, HVAC test. This is an incredibly capable tool for this price. I also feel that I need to mention the excellent software coverage this tool provides. You get two years of updates when you purchased this tool, after two years all of the software you have installed on the tool remains functional. The only thing you’ll lose by not renewing your subscription is the ability to access new software one it is released.
