BMW EWS4 IC Adapter is an optional add-on accessory for AK90, AK90+, Xprog, R270 etc programmers that will let you program BMW EWS4 keys without soldering. Use this adapter to read & write data dump from EWS Immobilizer. Recommended for more advanced locksmiths.
EWS 4.3 & 4.4 9S12(2L86D) On board reading Adaptor
(Before reading , please use “ sand paper “ to scrape glue off the circuit in back of EWS)
Working with AK90 programmer:
Must be with the small circuit on reading:
Select “ 2L86D” under AK90 software
Working with X-PROG programmer:
No need small circuit on reading
Select “MC9S12-EEPROM-secured” family under "MCU/MPU” in the software
Working with R270 programmer
Must be with the longer cable
Select “ 2L86D” under the selection of software and select reading “ EPROM or FLASH” as you wish

How to program BMW EWS4 (EWS4.3 & EWS4.4 transponder) using AK90+ and BMW EWS-4.3 & 4.4 IC adapter without soldering.
Program EWS4 key with AK90+/AK91 & EWS4 adapter
Remove EWS4 immo box
Connect EWS4 board to EWS4 adapter and AK90 key programmer
Select MCU 2L86D and Read EWS
Read data success and save data
EWS Analyse
You should be at the main screen with all the numbers and letters on, place your virgin/new key into the slot on the AK90 and select write key
Select the slot and select write key you will get a warning making sure that you have placed key in slot just select yes
After aprox 1-2mins you should see confirmation that the keys data is coded
Put EWS4 unit back to car.
