Q:Does this stay in place? Or are you supposed to remove after use? I have a 18 challenger..
Answer:
A:It does not remain with the vehicle, you have to disconnect the Secure Gateway Module to connect this cable.
If you have a compatible tool (such as Autel) and WiFi connection, you can subscription to Autoauth and it will eliminate most of the needs for this cable. If you do not have internet access when connecting to the vehicle or if you are performing some key related functions you will still need this adapter.
