I bought the CRP919EBT for only one purpose (for now), and that was the Fuel Composition Reset. GM and alcohol readings or whatever it's called goes out of wack on these flex fuel engines. So instead of taking the truck to a Shop and paying them stupid money for a 5 minute task, just buy one of these scanners. Worked as hoped. So very happy with it. At this price, it will pay for itself after 3 resets.

This is a solid scan tool. I got this for my 2012 Camry (built in Kentucky).
The things that are important and that stand out:
- Bi-directional capabilities
- Access to so many modules
- Displays the car's battery voltage at the top right
- Great customer service through email
- It's Wireless so you don't have to be in the driver seat at all times
- Long battery life
- Feels solid with a good case
- It HAS a WEB-BROWSER
- You can download apps from the Google Playstore
- You can view data numerically or by graph (you can also combine the graphs)
- The touchscreen is good and responsive
- It can easily switch from Imperial to Metric
- You can screenshot and screen record
- It can rotate (you can disable it also)
- It has a rear camera to record as well

-Auto VIN worked for me To confirm if your vehicle is covered, contact the seller.
- For the most part it needs internet access to use from your router/modem or personal hotspot.
- It runs on Android 10

efficient. It helped me quickly identify and resolve issues with my Range Rover's engine malfunction and throttle body. The wireless feature is convenient, and the extensive range of services, including ECU coding and V.A.G guided functions, makes it a valuable tool for any mobile mechanic. The two-year update is a bonus, ensuring I stay up-to-date with the latest diagnostic capabilities. Highly recommended for professionals and car enthusiasts alike. My Range Rover sport went into limp mode on the way to church with my family, was only driving 20mph I pulled over plugged in my scan tool and I had many codes that came up, one of the codes was for Engine malfunction with throttle body, I simply cleared the codes and kept driving, that saved me a tow truck fee, it’s a good idea to keep any diagnosis scan tool in your vehicle, but I chose launch because I am a mobile mechanic and this Launch X431 Elite diagnostics scan tool is very capable and more

Think of this as a smaller version of a pro-level scan tool.... Because it is. It still has all the resets you need to work on every make and model, as well as being packed with bi-directional controls and deep level PIDs. The screen is not huge, but the resolution must be high as I can see it very well with my aging eyes. I was able to control door locks windows, and climate control functions as well as using it to turn off the annoying ding when I don't have my seatbelt on. It read every car I threw it's way with ease and the chip onboard must be pretty fast as it did full system scans in no time at all. Overall a great tool for the advanced level tech.

I recently returned the AUTEL MK808BT PRO because I encountered some issues during my one month of usage. Firstly, the battery would drain very quickly, often going from 100% to 50% in less than 2 hours. This was quite frustrating for me. Secondly, the user interface was not intuitive and difficult to navigate. Additionally, the Autel MK808BT PRO does not have the coding function that I needed as a used car dealer. Since I often handle repairs and reconditioning myself, and assist customers in changing modules and car parts, having a coding function is crucial for me.
So I decide to purchase the LAUNCH X431 CRP919EBT Bluetooth Diagnostic Tool and I regret not buying it earlier. I had the opportunity to code a new TCM for a customer's GM car yesterday and it worked flawlessly. It surpasses my old GM Tech 2 . I can program modules, keys, and key fobs with ease.
This scan tool is one of the best I have ever used. The Android 10.0 tablet is fast, the text and graphics are clear, and the overall experience is much better compared to my old scan tool. The bidirectional control capability is absolutely essential for accurate diagnosis.
The number of PIDs available is quite impressive on the few cars I tested it on, ranging from 2001 to 2014. It helped me diagnose a problem with a transmission code where this tool showed me all the data that my other, cheaper scan tool (different brand) did not show. This is how I knew I had to replace the ECU.

I didn't give 5 stars because I think the product would have been better if it had a kickstand ,other than this, I am so happy with this Launch scanner, and I think it's a great product.

First of all, I am an intermediate DIY’er who is fairly new to bi-directional scanners. I researched a number of bi-directional scan tools before deciding on the Launch X431 with the Bluetooth interface. Like many of you, I struggled to find reliable and accurate information online. After talking with a friend of mine who is an experienced mechanic, I decided to roll the dice. I am happy to report that this baby checks all the boxes and so much more! I will try to highlight some of my experiences with it over the past couple weeks.

Tablet/Scanner
1) Extremely well built tablet and case/enclosure. Android based UI. Battery life has been exceptional. Onboard camera. Easy to navigate. Comes with a durable blow molded storage case. Charger included.
2) List of vehicles I have scanned and interacted with using this scan tool.
1999 Ford F-150
2000 Chevrolet Silverado
2010 Toyota Camry
2013 Mazda CX-5
2014 Toyota Avalon
2014 Ford F-150
2015 Mazda CX-9

*If the vehicle you are scanning supports the available feature(s)/function(s) of the scanner it will work. Keep in mind certain vehicles and/or manufacturers do not support some functions/features. While the Launch X431 works well on my 1999 Ford F-150 and supports many functions, it pales in comparison to the features/functions available on my 2014 Toyota Avalon Limited.

3) One of the features I used with success was programming or registration of a new push to start key fob for my 2014 Toyota Avalon. Saved me about $200. Again, Not every year/make/model support this function but many do.

4) No, this scanner is not sold and serviced by LaunchTech USA. Nor does it cost thousands of dollars. It does a lot more because there are less restrictions outside of the US. The registration process was easy. No problems whatsoever. I have not submitted a request for customer service or reported feedback so I can’t comment specifically on this.

5) The capabilities of this scanner far exceeds my knowledge and expertise as it pertains to vehicle data streams, diagnostics, and actuation tests. I have learned a lot from this tool and look forward to being able to dig deeper in the future.

First of all this scan tool is amazing. It's very compact and it's carrying case is a nice compliment for the scan tool and the accessories. One thing that you must consider whenever you buy a scan to is tool is whether it's bidirectional or not bidirectional. A bidirectional scan tool will allow you to talk to the different computers in the vehicle ans actually turn things on or off at your command.
A standard scan tool won't be powerful enough to activate different modules. I highly suggest that you always get a bidirectional scan tool. It's money well spent. It's Bluetooth which means no wires to worry about. One of the advantages of being wireless is that you can stand outside the car or even under the hood and activate different modules or actuators and see them engage or disengage to further verify that things are working or not working.
The menu is really easy to understand and will guide you towards checking your vehicle correctly. 😀. I highly suggest that you check for updates before each use. Then you will have the latest updates that have been released for your scan tool. This scan tool is extremely fast. Upon starting a health report for your vehicle the scan tool starts and completes the review of your vehicle in no time.
I personally like how the scan tool fits in my hand and that it comes with 2 years of updates.
I also like that ut is very easy to use and will certainly compliment your tool box as a great asset to your ability to find any issues that you are having in your vehicle.
To sum it up i highly recommend this bidirectional scan tool. I also want to say that the price and value is well worth it.

First thing’s first, it is an excellent addition to any tool set, be it in your home garage or professional mechanic shop. It has a fast Android interface along with 64GB of memory, with quick communication via the Bluetooth dongle. It comes in a very nice durable case, super handy for a mobile mechanics and anyone looking to protect their investment!

It features bi-directional control found on much more expensive readers, allowing you to control various systems separate from just reading codes from the ECU. I have been able to diagnose check engine lights on multiple vehicles quickly and have also been able to use the scanner extensively on a 2020 Lexus RX350 and 2018 Toyota 4Runner.

With this CRP919EBT, immobilizer programming, TPMS reset, and oil change light resets were easy to carry out. I was also able to monitor the transmission system temperature during a transmission fluid change, eliminating the need for any jumping of OBD2 pins and reading of cryptic dash lights.

In addition, I was able to automatically actuate the rear brake calipers on the RX350 as well as a 2018 Honda CRV which both needed replacement brake pads. This scanner also worked very well to do basic coding on a 2019 BMW X5 to remove seatbelt chimes and to switch on the automatic power folding mirror functions.

Although it’s too early for me to use the included updates, I am looking forward to using this scanner more in the future. Almost any DIY guy or shop can benefit from this scanner, and it is truly a worthwhile investment.

I would definitely recommend you consider this scanner to add to your arsenal!
