If you have a 'Try Frequency Failed' error when reading VAG MQB NEC35XX locked cluster with VVDI Prog and MQB solder free adapters, here is the possible solution.
Solution:
Don’t connect adapter to cluster, only connect MQB adapter with vvdi prog, with 12V in both VVDI Prog and MQB Adapter.
If only has frequency failed error, you have to measure FLMD0 voltage.
Go and read by TEST_OPTION_15, measure the FLMD0 voltage, normally the FLMD0 should be 3.3V, otherwise, the vvdi prog is faulty. Need to send back for repair.
Here is the customer solution, supply 3.3v to FMLDO on adapter. He tested all good read and write No problem.
Or just take a separate wire to connect the VVDI PROG for 3.3 volts and clamp FLMDO pin on the adapter.
Make sure you don’t touch any other pins.
If all the pins are touching correctly the board now, we should read the immo data.
