A:MP001 is a adapter only, to clone Bosch ECM you will also need G3 or DC706 programmer.

Q:I have received my Mp001, in order to use it do I have to activate the DC706 software?
Answer:
A:No. Just plug it in and the 706 will update the firmware then upload what it needs to configure the MP001 for whatever ECU you are connecting to. All automatic.
