DS17 EDC17 MED17 Infineon Tricore Boot Reader software installation

Here is the instruction on how to install DS17 reader software step-by-step. DS17 EDC17 MED17 ECU Infineon Tricore Boot Reader is an updated version of BDM100 ECU programmer, it takes direct access on processor and EPROM memory of the ECU over a dedicated port like the BDM system.

Step 1: Install software setup

Open software CD

Open DS17 folder

Open and install “DS17 Bsi-To-Go Setup”

Select software language, English or Deutsch

Click OK

Install Bsi-To-Go Setup wizard

Click Next

Accept license agreement

Click Next

Click Next

Click Next

Click Next to create desktop shortcut

Click Install

Completing the Bsi-To-Go Setup

Tick “Launch Bsi-To-Go” option and press Finish

If the system pops up Bsi-To-Go 1.14.00 windows, cancel it.

Step 2: Install driver

Connect the DS17 Infineon Tricore Boot Reader interface with computer via USB cable

The system starts to found the new hardware wizard

Select “Install from a list of specific location (Advanced)”, click Next

Browse and save file to C:\Program Files\ EVC\BsiToGo\driver

Click Next

The system will display “Cannot Start this Hardware” error, click Finish

Open My Computer->Manager->Device Manager->Universal Serial Bus controller->BSL 100

We will see the BSL100 status is disabled, click BSL100

Reflash the windows until the BSL100 device can be detected

Step 3: Read/Write ECU

Open Bsi-To-Go software on the desktop

Select “Read an ECU”

Click Next

Choose ECU type

Click Next

Back to Bsi-To-Go 1.14.00 menu, select Show this dialog in English

Follow the system prompts to operate
